“I came to give life and life more abundantly” John 10:10

Jesus has risen, he has conquered death, and he can give us eternal life when we trust in him. What a gift of selfless love the Father and Jesus have given us! In John 3:16 Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This word everlasting which is translated from the Greek word aiōnion doesn’t just mean a future event but a here-and-now reality when you put your trust in God and heed his invitation of the abundant life God offers us through Jesus. ‘Life’ here comes from the Greek word Zoe, which means more than physical life. It has the meaning of a quality type of life. Jesus laid down his Bios life to offer us Zoe life. It God’s eternal Zoe life will never pass away, unlike the lesser quality of life received from Satan through sin. The amazing thing is you don’t have to wait until the next life to experience this eternal life. You can experience it today! When you walk after the spirit and live by the truth you are living the life of God that’s eternal. God sustains the universe through truth for he is truth. Walking after the spirit is life (Zoe) and peace. (Romans 8:6) If you feel there’s more to life than what you’re currently experiencing, then know that the life God offers is one of fullness and peace, and is a life of true satisfaction. God’s invitation is to taste and see that he’s good. Walking after the spirit and living this type of life will lead you to experience first-hand how God is the God of truth and his word is truth. The truth will no longer be a theoretical concept but a lived-out reality that will bear witness to the truth in its entirety and this makes the enemy tremble! He knows if one tastes and sees for themselves that the Lord is good, they will be able to testify of the truth of God’s goodness and trustworthiness! God is good and I want you if you haven’t tasted and seen for yourself the goodness of God, to taste and see that he’s good and experience fullnes of life in him!
