When God shows himself as emotionally safe, this draws us to him in a faith-based relationship. Anything that interferes with emotional safety does the opposite.

God’s native tongue is love (agape) and agape as shown in 1 Corinthians 13 is the language of love that draws our hearts to him and resurrects love in us, giving us a heart of flesh vs a heart of stone.

This cultivates emotional attraction to him which allows us to open our hearts and become emotionally available to him as he’s emotionally available to us. This is how emotional safety and emotional attraction functions which is why the power of love alone can draw us to God!
